Stall No. 178 - Hill Street Fried Kway Tiao
Flat rice noodles, fat yellow Chinese noodles, bean sprouts fried in lard with eggs, chinese sausage, spring onion, cockles and dark soya sauce. The famous Bedok South fried kway tiao. We were lucky to get the last serving all wrapped up as the stallholders were closing their stall and that is all they can offer us. :-) The overall combination taste moist and just a little sweet thanks to the dark sweet sauce.

Stall No. 199 - Bedok South Niu Ji Prawn Noodles
Hokkien Fried Noodles (S$3.00/ US$2.15)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fat yellow Chinese noodles, fat rice noodles, bean sprouts fried in lard with strips of fish cake, squid and prawns. Add chilli to taste and squeeze some lime juice on it for maximum effect. The stall has a steady crowd and various newspaper clippings pasted on its stall front to advertise its food. However, we do not like what we had, as we felt that the fat yellow noodles taste overcooked with a strong akaline overture. Guess we caught them on a bad day..:-(
